FAQ
Summer Camp
Will programs still be running in extreme weather?
Who will be leading the camps?
All of our staff are screened/police-checked upon hiring. They are mostly university students who have a lot of sports knowledge and enthusiasm.
What should my child bring to camp?
During each day, we have two snack breaks and one lunch break. Campers should be sent with enough food to keep them energized for all of their action-packed activities along with a refillable water bottle. Our camp also has a strict nut-free policy as we want to make sure all of our campers are safe as some have allergies. Campers should be sent to camp in athletic footwear (running shoes) as well as comfortable clothes that are easy to move in. For some of our camps (ex.Nature Camp), campers will spend a large portion of their day outdoors and we do recommend they bring sunscreen, bug spray, boots as well as a change of clothes.
What if my child has exceptionalities?
We make every effort to create a safe, positive, and inclusive environment and to ensure all children enjoy their camp experience. Still, we are not designated to accommodate campers with exceptionalities. If your child has exceptionalities please speak with us before you register to determine if we are able to accommodate the specific requirements of your child.
What if my child has allergies or takes medication?
Those with allergies and medication are more than welcome to attend our camps and programs. We ask that staff are notified of any allergies and medical information upon drop off on the first day of your program. Our camps are nut free, and we have a strict no-sharing food policy in order to limit the risk of allergic reactions. Our staff are all trained on how to use an epi-pen and if your child has one, or any medication, their designated coach will have it on them at all times.
What does a typical camp day look like?
Introduction: Each day will begin with the camp leads/manager giving an introduction of all camp coaches, followed by the safety rules. They then will list some activities so each camper knows what the week will consist of.
Games: Our overall goal of the camp is to provide the most action-packed and fun day possible for the campers. Every camp that we offer has an emphasis on trying new activities and learning new skills. Throughout the day and week, campers will participate in an array of activities. For multisport camps, these activities may include soccer, football, baseball, floorball, dodgeball, and more. For Nature Camp, these may include scavenger hunts, hikes, water games, and more. For Creative Camp, activities may include acting, dancing, free play, and crafts.
Lunch/Snack: During the day, campers will have one morning snack, one afternoon snack, and a lunch break in the middle of the day. Prior to each break, campers wash their hands to reduce the spread of germs.
End of the Day: At the end of the day, campers are assisted by their coach(es) to ensure all of the items they brought with them to camp are back in their backpacks. After doing so, they are given a freezie to help them cool off after a long day of activities.
What are the camps offered?
We offer many unique camps such as our sports camps, sport-specific camp, nature, and creative camp. This means we cater to all interests and there truly is a camp for every child.
What are the behaviour expectations?
All campers who attend our programs are expected to show respect to themselves, other campers, our staff, and the facility. This is to ensure that everyone is safe and is able to enjoy their camp experience fully.
How does camp sign in and sign out work?
On your first day of camp, bring your child to the location your camp is at between 8:30 and 9:00 AM. Upon arrival, staff will be located at the sign-in table and will check you in. During this time, the staff members will ask you to confirm the designated pickup information for your child and those people are the only ones who will be able to pick up your child.
When picking up your child, you enter the building and head to the same area for sign-in during the morning. When you arrive, please state who you are picking up and make sure to have your ID with you as the staff member must check it before allowing the child to be picked up.
Can my child attend a day/week different from the registered day/week?
Camp capacity is limited, so children must attend the day and week for which they registered.
Can I get a refund for bad weather?
Unfortunately, no credit or refund can be provided for no-shows on bad weather days.
Are there fees for late pickups?
Our camps run from 9:00a.m-3:45p.m, if you require any extra time, we offer extended care from 8a.m-6p.m, with an additional charge of $12. If you are past those times, there is a fee of $20 per 15 minutes which is paid directly to the coach.
Are there any age requirements?
Children must meet the minimum camp age prior to the first day of camp to attend.
Children attending a Soccer World PA Day camp in September, October, November, or December may be three (3) IF they are in full-day JK and they are turning four (4) by December 31st.
Am I required to sign a wave? What does it contain?
A completed waiver is required in order to participate in camp. The waiver includes both an injury release, medical authorization, and photo release.
Am I allowed to make friend requests?
We do offer friend requests. Each camper is allowed to make one request for another camper who is in the same age group as them.
